Q: Can I vote for less than four board candidates in election buddy? A: Yes, vote for the desired number and then write in "blank" for additional rows required to get your ballot to four total selections. You will be allowed to proceed, and election committee has been advised to discard "blank" votes.
Q: If I own more than one lot can I be sure that my electronic vote will count for the correct number of lots? A: Yes, the weight of each ballot is assigned in Election Buddy based on total lots owned. There is one ballot assigned per street address due to Election Buddy restrictions. The weight of each ballot is visible to all Community Members in PayHoa in the "Documents" tab. Download the latest "lda-lot-voting-list" to see the weights assigned to each ballot and confirm that your weighting is correct. The total votes possible is 214, which represents the total number of voting lots in the Association as of September 1, 2025.
Future reminder emails will be sent to those that have not yet voted in Election Buddy. These reminders will contain the voting weight and lots associated with each individual ballot for improved transparency.
Q: Will the lot owner of E-000 be able to rent the property? A: If not part of the Association, the lot is governed by Jefferson County code. While the Board does not presume to be an expert on such code, the assumption is that they have no prohibitions on rentals.
If E-000 becomes part of the Association, then it is subject to all of the benefits and limitations of our By-laws which prohibit rentals. The same would be true for any other Road Access Member properties that join the Association.
